Photos from the Hen's Night

The Hen's Party was great: relaxed and quiet, we all got to chat and talk shit. Greta organised for everyone to bring a gift that reflects marriage and relationships. I tell you, Greta and Gayle Thomas need to win awards for creativity and talking bullshit.

I didn't like that Greta made me eat dinner food before dessert (pictured). Worse was when she told me the following day that she had made two of the meringue cakes. I left her house without even starting the second one. What a waste.

I had four glasses of champagne (my limit is two) and it took me three days to recover.

Hen's Party this Saturday

Sisterhood only

When: Saturday the 17th March.

Where: Greta Galloways house (three houses down from the Red Beret pub at Redlynch)

Time: 7.30 pm.

Bring: Plate of nibblies and what ever you're drinking. Greta's doing Pate, Punch and Pudding.

Dress: Like a hen

Contact Greta for more information: greta.galloway@jcu.edu.au

Greta, Allen, Catherine and David can't come to the Wedding in the Rainforest because Greta's facilitating a Family Therapy workshop in Townsville that same day.
Greta's daughter Catherine was M.C at my book launch. She's as high as a tree now - obviously gets her height from Greta (not).

The Hen’s Party

Megan’s long time friend, Dr Greta Galloway, is organizing a Hen’s Party. Details are still to be arranged but it will be at Greta’s place (Redlynch) the week before the wedding.

Greta has asked for a list of people to be invited and she will send out invitations. I was thinking that I would invite people who cannot come to the wedding but if you’d like to come and ruffle your feathers up for the chicken dance on the Wedding Day, leave a comment and I’ll pass your details onto Greta.

Keep checking this spot for details, when I know what’s happening I’ll post it here. Alternatively, contact Greta directly greta.galloway@jcu.edu.au

And……please contact Megan to be briefed on Operation Hen: imaginif@bigpond.com.au or 07 4032 5034. This top secret mission cannot be discussed here lest it fall into enemy eyes and hands.

Hen's Party UPDATE 3.3.07: Greta is feeding the chooks in her run at Redlynch, the Saturday evening before the wedding (24.3.07). I have mostly invited either my female friends not invited to the wedding or women who can't make it to the wedding. No roosters allowed. If you would like to come please contact Greta directly.
